FAQ
You may have questions about aromatherapy, energy healing, and how nurse‑led holistic care fits alongside traditional medicine. This section is designed to give clear, trustworthy answers — highlighting professional background, safety practices, and the complementary nature of services. Please contact me for any additonal questions not answered in this section.
What is your professional background?
I am a licensed cosmetologist and Registered Nurse in the state of Idaho, holding a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Additionally, I am a level 3 certified nurse aromatherapist, and I am currently advancing my studies in the Healing Touch Program, with certification anticipated in 2027.
Where did you receive your nursing education?
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Boise State University School of Nursing, graduating in 2021. My nursing foundation guides every aspect of my holistic practice, ensuring safe, ethical, and evidence‑informed care.
Where did you complete your aromatherapy training?
I received my aromatherapy certification through The Institute of Integrative Aromatherapy, a program grounded in clinical safety, plant science, and therapeutic application. This training supports my ability to create individualized, nurse‑guided aromatherapy plans.
Where do you train for energy healing?
I am currently enrolled in the Healing Touch Program and am actively working toward achieving Healing Touch practitioner status, with completion expected by 2027. As a student, I offer Healing Touch sessions at a discounted rate during my certification process.
Are you affiliated with any professional organizations?
Yes. I am a member of NAHA (National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy), AHNA (American Holistic Nurses Association), and HTPA (Healing Touch Professional Association). These organizations support ongoing education, uphold high standards of holistic practice, and connect me with a community of professionals dedicated to safe, compassionate, and evidence‑informed care.
What makes therapeutic aromatherapy different?
Therapeutic aromatherapy is individualized and guided by clinical knowledge. As a Certified Nurse Aromatherapist, I select and blend essential oils based on each client’s health history, sensitivities, and wellness goals. Unlike mass‑market blends, every formulation is tailored for safety, effectiveness, and personal resonance. I use only therapeutic‑grade essential oils that are pure, single‑source, and unadulterated. Each oil is ethically sourced and verified in its natural state through third‑party gas chromatography testing. All essential oils are purchased from reputable suppliers who can confirm both the quality and geographic origin of every plant extract.
Is aromatherapy a replacement for medical care?
No. Aromatherapy is a complementary therapy — it supports well‑being but does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment. Clients are encouraged to continue working with their physicians while using aromatherapy as an added layer of holistic support.
Is aromatherapy safe for children or older adults?
Yes, with proper precautions. Essential oils are always diluted and selected carefully for age, health conditions, and sensitivities. Safety is my priority, and I follow evidence‑based guidelines for every client.
How do you ensure essential oil safety?
Essential oils are powerful plant extracts and must be used responsibly. I follow evidence‑based guidelines for dilution, application, and contraindications. Each blend is created with attention to age, health conditions, and sensitivities to ensure safe and effective use. Oils are never applied undiluted to the skin, and internal use is only considered when prescribed by a medical doctor.
Do you sell pre‑blended oils?
No. I do not sell mass‑market blends. Every formulation is created specifically for the individual, based on health history, sensitivities, and wellness goals. This ensures safety and effectiveness
Do you offer discounted Healing Touch sessions?
Yes. As a Healing Touch Program student, I provide sessions at a discounted rate during my certification process. This allows clients to experience the benefits of Healing Touch while supporting my training journey.
Is Healing Touch the same as massage?
No. Healing Touch is an energy‑based therapy that uses gentle hand movements and intention to balance the body’s energy field. It does not involve muscle manipulation or deep tissue work.
Are sessions available remotely?
Yes. Healing Touch can be provided both in person and at a distance. Distance sessions use focused intention and energy techniques to support balance and well‑being wherever you are. At this time all HT sessions are provided at a distance.
What should I expect during a session?
Sessions are gentle and relaxing. You may feel warmth, tingling, or deep calm as energy shifts. Each session begins with a brief discussion of your goals, followed by Healing Touch or aromatherapy tailored to your needs.
